Our Client, a leading provider of maintenance, modification and operations services to Clients in the offshore Oil & Gas market are currently seeking a Technical Manager (Radiation) for a staff position based in the UK. The role and its and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:-
Responsible for the management of all aspects of radiography from a safety and legal perspective to safe storage and ensuring operational readiness,
The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the company's technician competency assessments in-house and the maintenance & certification of all Inspection equipment.
Candidates with a proven track record in ensuring all procedures are followed and working practices fully adhere to the requirements of ISO17020 are welcome to apply.
The role will include the responsibility for managing all In-House NDT Competency Assessments both Theoretical & Practical.
Knowledge and exprience of performing onshore and offshore Rad Technical Audits is a prerequisite from the Client.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the company appointment of Radiation Protection Supervisors as well as being held accountable for the management of Radioactive isotopes and containers.
In depth knowledge of Conventional, Computed and Digital Radiography is required.
Certified to Level 3 Radiography ISO 9712 is an essential requirement to be in a position to consider this vacancy as well as being a recognised Senior RPS.
Industry required competencies to include an Offshore Survival, MIST & UKOOA Medical is a prerequistie from the Client.
A conventional NDT qualification would be highly advantageous.
