The Technology Attorney based in the Bucharest Legal Support Center for Schlumberger's Software Integrated Solutions (SIS) department serves as an active member of both the SIS Legal Department and the Bucharest LSC.

He/She has the primary responsibility for assisting the SIS Legal Counsel in handling all legal and contractual issues associated with the global development, distribution, sales and marketing of SIS' technology solutions which include cloud and on-premises based software, information management tools, IT infrastructure, and IT related services.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on the following kinds of IT/technology contracts:
    • Software License & Maintenance Agreements
    • Software Resale and Distribution Agreements
    • Software as a Service Agreements
    • Cloud Services Agreements
    • IT Consultancy Services Agreements
    • Software Deployment Project Agreements
    • Software/IT related Partnership Agreements
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements
    • Research & Development and Collaboration Agreements
  • Conduct legal research as requested on Software and IT related regulations and case law, e.g. data protection, residency, cybersecurity and competition law
  • Assist with due diligence for software/technology related M&A and JV projects
  • Assist in the management of SIS related disputes and litigation

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Legal degree (JD/ LLB or equivalent), Qualified Attorney/Solicitor (any jurisdiction is fine)
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • At least 1 years' post qualification experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on the following kinds of IT/ Technology contracts:
    • Software; License, Maintenance, Resale, Distribution, SaaS, Cloud services, IT Consultancy - Agreements
    • Software Deployment Project Agreements
    • Software/ IT related Partnership Agreements
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and able to travel when required
  • Have the legal right to work in Romania
