Our client, a leading oilfield services company, have a requirement for a QHSE Advisor for a 6 month contract based in Aberdeen, starting ASAP.

ROLE

  • Responsible for execution of QHSE tasks related to the country QHSE strategy; the objective of which is the prevention and mitigation of risks to quality, safety, health and the environment.
  • The job scope requires regular interaction with the front line workforce, clients, and in certain cases government entities.
  • The QHSE Advisor ensures implementation of the QHSE strategy in facilities and operations within the country

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily verification that OEPS standards are implemented and in use
  • Validating that proper techniques are utilized for hazardous activities such as lifting, working at height, driving etc.
  • Supporting and educating the company's proactive QHSE culture throughout the organization
  • Performing risk assessments in conjunction with facilities and product lines
  • Coordinating regular safety meetings and QHSE training
  • Validating that quality systems and processes are being used, i.e. technical work instructions, JDE, ASL etc.
  • Reporting and investigating incidents in accordance with company standards
  • Verifying RADAR program is being effectively utilized and the actions are taken to control potentially hazardous situations
  • Supervising the execution of monthly inspections and implementing a hazard hunt program
  • Supervising the online safety data sheet system
  • Verifying that facilities have current spill response plans implemented
  • Assisting product lines with preparation and implementation of service quality plans
  • Auditing of critical suppliers
  • Maintaining QHSE certification
  • Ensuring implementation of, and compliance to, government regulations, with special consideration for hazardous materials
  • Participation in the annual verification audit program
  • Implementation of management system changes and initiatives as prescribed by the Senior QHSE Manager
  • Assessing QHSE competence
  • Interfacing with clients on QHSE issues
  • Any further duties commensurate with the job scope as directed by the Senior QHSE Advisor

REQUIREMENTS

  • NEBOSH or equivalent qualification
  • Further Education Certification
  • Qualified Auditor
  • Qualified Investigator
  • Relevant industry system / process qualifications such as operational risk management tools, integrated management systems
  • Preferred
  • College or University Qualification
  • FMEAC / TapRoot
  • Industry qualification in hazardous activities such as lifting, manual handling
  • Related industry experience or regulatory experience Time served in a QHSE role
  • Incident management / failure analysis
  • Reliability and statistical data interpretation
  • Extensive Weatherford enterprise and management systems knowledge
  • Ability to make presentations to multi-disciplined groups (including internal and external), run effective workshops and produce reports / documentation
  • Ability to work across multi-functional job roles or in isolation
  • Ability to communicate with frontline workforce and demonstrate visible leadership in the field and workshop
