This role partners closely with the global Total Remuneration (TR) Center of Expertise, HR Shared Services, HR Business Partners, and the business leaders to lead strategic approach to compensation and employee benefits in the Philippines. The role aligns TR programs with company goals, ensures compliance with local legal requirements and drives positive impact on the organizational culture and growth by attracting, rewarding and retaining talent.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Provides counsel and recommends strategies to the business leaders and HR business partners regarding local employees' total remuneration plans, policies, organization design and placement issues for reorganizations
  • Liaises with the internal Human Resources Shared Services Center to conduct job evaluations, develop and analyze salary and benefit surveys
  • Reviews, Designs & recommends new compensation and benefit programs, HR policies and revises existing ones in partnership with the global Total Remuneration Center of Expertise. Secures approvals and communicates to employees
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors and monitors their performance in accordance with terms and conditions. Deals with difficult vendor situations. Ensures that plans are administered as designed and compliant with laws and regulations
  • Continuously monitors the market, conducts research activities to ensure knowledge is updated on current issues and happenings in the local industry. Provides recommendations for improvement on both design and process. Uses market data and models to understand current and future remuneration trends.
  • Develops and delivers compensation and benefits related trainings and communications to employees and HR professionals
  • Monitors legal and regulatory environment to ensure plan or program compliance. Recommends design changes based on impacts and partners with in-house legal counsel


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree graduate, preferably in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 5-10 years Human Resources experience, specializing in total remuneration or compensation and benefits administration
  • Strong background in market data analysis, compensation program design and development.
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders


Relocation Options:

  • Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

  • Selected candidates will work in Philippines under the local payroll system and benefits.
