Seeking Individuals with Oil and Gas Experience to work as Air Drilling Equipment Operators/Technicians

Prior experience operating air packages is preferred, but not required.

Precision Air Drilling Services, Inc. is a leader in the Air Drilling industry. Precision Air Drilling Services provides services and equipment to land-based and offshore oil, gas, geothermal and mining companies. Working under the direction of a Field Supervisor, Air Operators are responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of high-pressure compressors, boosters, pumps and associated equipment.

Responsibilities, Duties and Requirements:

The Air Operator/Technician position is one of the most essential to the company's operations. Duties include:

  • Operate Air Drilling equipment
  • Monitor gauges; make necessary adjustments
  • Perform inspections of equipment
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Rig-Up and Rig-Down
  • Adherence to safety standards.

Air Technicians must be able to work at oil/gas rig sites (including offshore) and outdoors in all weather conditions for rotations that may last several weeks. This position will be based out of Mineral Ridge, OH or Fruita, CO, but work assignments will mostly be at drilling locations.

This position requires travel to job sites throughout the country and offshore and involves being away from home for extended periods of time.

Viable candidates must be willing to work overtime, evenings and weekends as required and have the ability to drive their own vehicle to job sites. The company will arrange transportation for offshore and international work.

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to supervisors, co-workers and clients is essential. Employee must be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a confined job area.

This position may require standing and walking for extended periods of time; operation of heavy equipment, lifting and pushing equipment (up to 100 lbs) and climbing and working in cramped conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • 1 or more years oil field, heavy equipment operator or military experience;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Reliable transportation;
  • Must pass drug test, physical and background check in accordance with company policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Vocational or technical degree;
  • SafeLand/SafeGulf/RigPass;
  • One or more years operating air equipment.
  • TWIC Card.
