Manage projects related to supply of complex and frequently customized multiphase metering systems for production well testing. Review customer needs and project specifications and work with Product engineering teams to design suitable systems. Prepare quotes and technical clarifications as needed. Prepare Functional Design Specifications for Sustaining Engineering team to facilitate detailed drawing/design efforts. Prepare and track project schedules for manufacturing and supply of equipment. Prepare Inspections Test Plans as required and manage execution of the plan. Support manufacturing with vendor selection and management. Define project documentation requirements and manage preparation and delivery of same.


Perform meter/system sizing based on customer specifications.

Prepare pricing estimates based on JDE historical records and/or vendor queries

Support regions and customers with technical clarifications related to proposed metering solutions

Prepare Functional Design Specifications

Prepare Inspection Test Plans. Review and support preparation of Manufacturing Control Plans. Prepare Supplier Document Register Lists (SDRLs)

Work with Customer Service and Regions to get orders properly entered.

Manage engineering design and document preparation

Prepare and track project schedules

Deliver projects on time and on budget.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical Procedures, and Workplace instructions.  Must understand and comply with all safety rules and Weatherford company policies.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor or manager within the physical constrains of the job.



Some experience leading a technical project team.

Proficiency in the basic Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Project.

Strong Problem Solving/debugging skills.

Must be well organized and have good communication skills (verbal & written).

Ability to identify project objectives and deliverables, establish project schedules, and meet agreed-upon milestones.

Experience with supply or use of electromechanical components for use in hazardous locations

BS degree or equivalent experience in the engineering discipline or related technical field.

3+ years relevant professional experience in project management, product development, or product testing.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Must be able and willing to work out of the Kingwood, TX facility.


Manual and automated testing experience.

Familiarity with design and application of laboratory-grade electronic and optical sensing systems for oil & gas production environments.

Familiarity with manufacturing/production/quality issues related to metering systems.

Experience writing technical and procedural specifications related to development of and reliable production of high quality metering systems.

Programming knowledge of CLEARSCADA

JDE EnterpriseOne software knowledge
