REPORTS TO: Drilling Superintendent / Completion-Petroleum Engineer

LOCATION: Offshore Central North Sea/Onshore Aberdeen

 

ROLE:

To supervise completion operations, supervision and co-ordination of third-party personnel in the preparation and execution of completion equipment installations.

 

EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have recent jack-up experience and have familiarity with screens, open hole inflatable packers, FS2 and gas lift with a well test clean up flow period.

 

DUTIES:

Review of well programmes in detail to confirm familiarization, and to advise project team of any deficiencies, in preparation for the offshore operations.

In conjunction with project teams, establish that all equipment load out lists are complete and accurate, and that all necessary equipment and tools are accounted for.

Advise on any input/changes to programmes that may provide potential improvements to optimize the operations and reduce well costs.

Establish and maintain regular contact with relevant completion supplier's representatives.

Provide support to project teams in the participation and supervision on any System Integration Testing that may be required on completion equipment.

Where practical, carry out physical checks of completion equipment, prior to its mobilization offshore.

Ensure that the well programmes, policies and instructions are properly directed and communicated to the completion services 3rd party personnel, and to the rig teams.

Prepare daily work instructions for completion equipment installations.

Conduct the necessary Toolbox talks, Risk Assessments, Job Safety analysis with the relevant subsea service company personnel.

Provide supervision of completion equipment preparations to ensure that all equipment is functionally fit-for-purpose and that all space-outs and equipment tallies are correct and accurate.

Provide input to lookaheads and mobilisation plans to ensure equipment is loaded out to the rig site and demobilised efficiently.

Provide supervision of completion equipment installations, and ensure that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.

Provide leadership to 3rd party personnel, in the active participation to the rig/vessel safety regimes

Provide input to the daily reporting of operations and events during the well construction/intervention operations.

Provide input to the end of well reporting including input to the capture of lessons learned for future Ithaca well operations.

 

QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that all offshore operations are conducted and comply with the company and client corporate safety policies, Safety Management Systems and regulatory requirements.

Ensure 3rd party personnel participation in rig/vessel safety programmes.
