  • Champions automation initiatives in partnership with different application support teams, leveraging on emerging automation technologies.
  • Coordinates and leads technical and functional changes in SAP that represent efficiencies in IT Support tasks within ESS.
  • Provide guidance to junior resources in the team regarding Change Management Process within ESS and technical knowledge transfer.
  • Analyzes end-to-end processes across teams and business units to propose alternatives to improve them.
  • Works closely with SAP/JDE/GCFIT application support teams and Global Service Desk to ensure business and SOX compliance requirements are met; ERP systems integrity is not impaired; and that changes provide for efficient ongoing support.
  • Works with partner teams to identify, analyze and optimize repetitive and low-value tasks to increase business value creation.
  • Performs Level 1.5 (standard system changes, periodic and highly-documented activities) operations and project support to existing global designs for the ERP systems (SAP and JDE), including UC4 and GARS/Certification
  • Handles critical MEC activities and support tasks


Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:



  • Analyzes, frames and documents repetitive and low-value tasks that can be optimized saving time in IT support operation.
  • Performs optimization of system resources to improve efficiency/performance.
  • Assists in developing and monitoring service level performance metrics.
  • Analyzes incident history records to identify improvements opportunities and conducts root-cause analysis on system failures that disrupt normal business operations.
  • Works with different teams and IT partners in different parts of the world.
  • Upgrades system quality assurance processes and/or makes application and infrastructure changes to eliminate future incidents.
  • The team uses Lean Sigma and project management tools to improve internal processes.


Special Considerations



  • Knowledge/experience in deploying automation and/or optimization initiatives.
  • Knowledge/experience in ABAP, developing programs from scratch and/or designing Functional Specifications.
