Equinor UK is recruiting for a Buyer to support Mariner Operations. The position will report into Head of Procurement UK & Ireland based in Aberdeen. Equinor's Procurement and Supply Chain Management function in the UK is a team of 20-25 people supporting all onshore and offshore UK activities.


Job Description

Execute operational procurement tasks for Equinor in Aberdeen supporting Mariner onshore and offshore organisations with spare parts purchasing and day to day requests for services and material

Advise the internal team on operational procurement processes, progress and best practice

Establish and manage POs and contracts for our operations teams in a timely and efficient way, ensuring best value is obtained for Equinor

Create purchase orders and call off contracts in SAP/Sourcing Cockpit

Coordinate tasks within the UK buyer function and deliver on the Supply Chain Management improvement agenda

Establish and maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with suppliers

Plan and organise procurement activities in compliance with Equinor's procedures and requirements

Consider improvements to the efficiency of the department through forward planning and use of innovative solutions

Take ownership for personal safety and positively encourage a strong safety culture amongst colleagues and suppliers

Liaise with and maintain good relationships with external suppliers and other Equinor personnel

Co-ordinate and collaborate with other Equinor procurement teams globally

  • Bachelor or Master's degree qualification
  • Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications
  • Buyer/Purchaser experience or graduate
  • Supply chain management competence and experience
  • SAP/ERP system superuser
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
