Job DescriptionLead and manage team of multi-disciplinary engineering contractors to ensure efficient, cost effective and high-quality delivery of the major maintenance asset rejuvenation work including PU planned shutdown and pitstop scopes and the related activities.Work in close cooperation with PU operations, maintenance and technology as well Engineering Assurance to ensure the delivery of the total work and the related activities while ensuring the integrity, reliability and availability of the production units.Responsible for all aspects of major maintenance (HSSE, Meeting Plan, KPIs, Budget, etc) for his/her team.Develop the major maintenance and inspection strategies jointly with operations, engineering, technology, E&S and other stakeholders, including contractors, to minimize impact, optimize maintenance duration, improve availability and minimize costExecute major maintenance activities in compliance to work processes (e.g. Maintenance Execution and Management of Change processes)Support site wide planning, contracting strategy & cost budgeting activities for work relating to major maintenance activities
The Major Maintenance team has responsibility for site-wide efficient and high-quality delivery of major maintenance activities that include site-wide Integrated Tank Maintenance, Infrastructure, CO2 & Energy management, wharf shutdowns, coordination of asbestos removal, assets rejuvenation and PU planned shutdown and pitstop scopes. This function will be expected to work with the PU Maintenance teams and other site functions such as Engineering, Production and Technology to achieve best in class maintenance performance levels.
The Engineer (Major Maintenance), reporting to the Manager (Major Maintenance), is responsible for providing supervision and leadership to the integrated contractor teams to ensure the safe, effective and efficient coordination and execution of planned assets rejuvenation and PU planned shutdown and pitstop scopes.
This role is also charged with looking for improvement opportunities in productivity and mechanization.
The Engineer (Major Maintenance) will:
Key DeliverablesOverall responsible for the safe and timely execution of the major maintenance work including asset rejuvenation and PU planned shutdown and pitstop scopes and the related activities as per stated premisesResponsible to engage stakeholders and develop scope of work to be executed. Follow the TA / Project process of scope finalizing, scope freezing, executing, change managing, interface managing and delivering the Major Maintenance workLead, supervise and coach the team contractors to carry out major maintenance work safely, effectively and efficientlyEnsure compliance contractors to all appropriate Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies and proceduresImplement assigned controls identified in HSSE MS, such as Job Hazard Analysis, Method Statements, lifting plans and ensure that all work is executed in accordance to these controls and the Permit to Work requirementsEmbrace maintenance execution and contracting & procurement processes and ensure work are executed according to plan and scheduleManage and control cost to keep the major maintenance work spending within budget and phasingDrive the productivity of contractors to optimize maintenance costsEnsure quality of work by the major maintenance team and contractors are kept at a best in class level to ensure zero reworkAssist with mechanical start-up plans and procedures

At least 5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry maintenance field with proven records in safety / reliability / integrity assurance and maintenance executionA technical diploma / degree in mechanical subjectsSkill in executing field maintenance work and managing the contractors on site.Skill on Job Hazard Analysis, Confined Space Entry and Permit to Work requirements
