We are currently seeking an experienced FCC Mechanical Engineer to work with a leading EPC company based out of Houston, TX. Our client has a presence in 48 countries worldwide, with state-of-the-art industrial assets on all continents and their own fleet of specialized vessels for pipeline installations and subsea construction, as well as providing a wide range of services, including design, engineering, construction, fabrication and environmental services.

Responsibilities

The FCC Mechanical Engineer is primarily responsible for preparing and reviewing of job specifications, requisitions, technical designs, drawings, and calculations for FCC related projects. 

 

Other responsibilities include:

 

- Overseeing project manpower loadings and personnel requirements

- Assisting with constructibility studies, proposals, manhour estimates, equipment cost estimates and feasibility assessments 

- Ensuring equipment is designed and fabricated in accordance with applicable codes, project specifications and best industry practices

- Design and analysis of large steel plate structures including: FCC reactors and regenerators, high pressure reactors, pressure spheres, process columns, granular storage silos, water tanks and flat bottom process storage tanks to ASME and API codes 

- Coordinating between the customer, engineering, drafting, shop and field fabrication for individual projects; structural design and analysis of platforms, pipe guide and supports

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

- 10-15+ years of progressive Engineering experience, with a focus on FCC and/or related projects

- Proficiency in AutoCAD design software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

- Working knowledge of ASME VIII and API codes
