Job Summary

This position is located in The Woodlands, Texas office and will provide support to the Delaware Basin Midstream team. Anadarko is seeking someone who: Manages development of business assets and evaluation of growth and expansion opportunities. Directs optimization strategies, and develops improved strategies to grow midstream operations. Focuses on improving the efficiency and volume of gathering, processing, treatment and production to ensure consistent and profitable operations of managed assets. Organizes and manages teams implementing optimization programs, ensures teams are familiar with program terms and goals. Identifies acquisition and divestment opportunities aligned with business goals. Evaluates processes and workflows with development teams. Ensures proper documentation and records are kept for assets and transactions. Regularly interfaces with customers, operators and landowners.


•Minimum seven (7) years of experience required; ten (10)+ years of midstream experience preferred.

•Strong understanding and knowledge of the gas gathering and processing business management and operations.

•In depth knowledge of Oil & Gas contract negotiations, commercial planning & development, midstream accounting and product marketing.

•Economic modeling and creative financial evaluation skills required.

•Must possess excellent teamwork skills and negotiation skills, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

•Able to manage multiple high-level projects involving a variety of assets and commercial and operational challenges.

•Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.

•Requires the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with third party producers and midstream service providers, and lead teams from other work groups such as engineering, accounting, gas control, marketing and field operations.


Manage commercial development of existing midstream assets.

  • Develop and grow customer relationships to create additional revenue growth opportunities.

  • Understand and mitigate customer alternatives and competitive forces around the assets.

  • Coordinate with engineering and operations to successfully manage daily issues that arise.

  • Interpret and negotiate contracts, operating agreements and other legal documents.

  • Originate new business opportunities - work with team to help develop strategy and opportunities for new ventures.

  • Develop industry relationships to help find, analyze and pursue new opportunities.

  • Research and stay current on industry developments and trends.
  • Provide mentoring and training for less experienced Commercial Development personnel.

  • Conduct due diligence assistance on acquisitions, divestitures and land trades.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration required.

Masters of Business Administration preferred.


Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.


This position may be eligible for domestic relocation.

Travel Requirements

Travel will be required up to 30%.

Work Schedule

This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
