Job Summary:
As Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible for design and procurement assistance with various upstream equipment for both onshore and offshore projects, including, but not limited to: separators, scrubbers, pumps, tanks, compressors and utilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define requirements for design of various equipment for onshore and offshore production facilities.
  • Prepare various studies and calculations associated with sizing and selection of equipment.
  • Prepare specifications and datasheets for various equipment.
  • Prepare various calculations associated with sizing and selection of piping.
  • Prepare general arrangement drawings for the platform or onshore facility.
  • Prepare Piping and Instrument Diagrams as required to define the facility design.
  • Coordinate drafting activities and assist in application of engineering principles.
  • Prepare technical documents for Request for Quotation packages.
  • Prepare technical evaluations of supplier quotations.
  • Review vendor design documents and fabrication drawings.
  • Provide construction and fabrication support, as well as expediting assistance, as required.



Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university required. PE license in the state of Texas strongly preferred.
  • Must have at least seven (7) years of experience in mechanical engineering activities.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design of facilities and mechanical equipment associated with upstream oil and gas projects.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the design of offshore projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with vendors/suppliers normally used in fabrication of oil and gas equipment and materials along the Gulf Coast.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and "get things done" attitude.
