JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Independently perform analysis of observed production behavior of surface and subsurface assets to improve economic recovery in wells.

Collaborate and perform technical tasks as assigned making routine technical decisions within set guidelines, using clearly defined procedures to achieve production targets. 

Collaborate with field operations, remediation, facilities, maintenance and subsurface teams to optimize performance. 

Review and analyze daily production reports, completion and workover reports, sub-surface equipment tallies for regulatory requirements. 

Review well failure and prepare remediation procedures for workover applying business to prepare data for failure analysis, mean time between failure (MTBF) analysis.

Review and validate advanced failure analytics model predictions.  Design, monitor and troubleshoot sucker rod pump system (SRPS).

Formulate and apply mathematical modelling and other optimization methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, well operations and production policy formulation.

Independently perform nodal analysis, evaluating well lift performance and designing lift solutions for optimal performance. 

Optimize production operations including estimating formation deliverability, well operating points and surface network operations. 

Forecast future performance based on past history using engineering and business constraints. 

Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions as well as identifying strengths and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions or potential approach to solve production issues. 

Perform routine QA/QC on all static and dynamic data, production and completion data.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science field with five years of experience in well production optimization including three years (within 5) in the field evaluating artificial lift design and performance optimization for optimal performance.
