JOB DESCRIPTION

Effectively plans, manages, and sustains the company's overall manufacturing effort of the facility through the coordination and management of HSSE, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Materials, Warehouse and continuous improvement for the location in support of the overall company objectives.  Monitors the budget and the quality of each department's work processes and output. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recommends plans and budgets and conducts activities in accordance with approval and achieves budget and business plan objectives.

Develops and implements short and long-rang strategies consistent with organization guidelines.

Coordinate unit operations with appropriate organization executives.

Assist Planning, Manufacturing and Warehouse in optimizing inventory and service levels while achieving inventory turn goals.

Ensure that operations conform to local, state and federal government regulations.

Maintain appropriate communications with and between various functional areas within the company to optimize growth and profitability of product lines.

Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations, through direct or delegated contract with representative individuals or groups.

Reviews organizations and staffing plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of division objectives.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams

Negotiation and effective communication skills required

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure positive results

Good knowledge of the Microsoft business suite, especially Word and Excel

Proven track record of leadership and management

Well developed decision-making skills

Crisis management skills

Knowledge and development of state-of-the-art manufacturing practices (including continuous flow)

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Structural or Architectural or any business discipline with MBA Degree as preferred

Preference given to 10+ years experience related to manufacturing, particularly in oilfield applications

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Preferred:

Good knowledge of product line and customer expectations

Successful completion of one APICS module "Basics of Supply Chain Management"

Knowledge of product drawings

Valid driver's license.
