Drilling & Workover is currently seeking an experienced Joint Venture (JV) Accounting Specialist to join the D&WO Joint Ventures Coordination team.

As the successful candidate you will perform a broad spectrum of financial accounting related tasks within the upstream area. The primary function is the responsibility to analyze and prepare inputs for internal reports, statutory reports, and quarterly closing.

You will have performed this function previously within an International Oil Company (IOC), or publically traded National Oil Company (NOC), and have an in-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as it applies to Oil & Gas companies.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor degree in business, accounting, or finance. Preferable to have one advanced accounting professional designation (CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent).

You will have a minimum of 12 years accounting and reporting related experience. Preferably 5+ years of this experience will be in the Oil & Gas value chain.

Previous experience in JV agreements establishment, coordination and management is of high importance.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

General financial accounting tasks related to upstream operations ensuring compliance with IFRS.

Review and audit financial reports by ensuring accuracy of inputs, compliance of governance, and IFRS.

Produce and review the joint venture yearly business plan, and yearly accountability. Review and audit the services of JV partners.

Manage and recommend potential enhancements of Joint Venture financial policy and procedures.

Produce financial reports to management, and conduct external benchmarks.

Create and analyze financial models based on variable assumptions and scenarios.

Assist in providing cash and working capital forecasts, and associated plans based on operational requirements
