We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Reporting Expert to join the External Reports Division (ERD) of the Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management Center (PB&PMC).
ERD is responsible for ensuring Saudi Aramco's compliance with external reporting obligations as dictated by the relevant regulations. ERD prepares the Annual Report & Accounts and other periodic external reports (e.g., quarterly and half-yearly) to fulfill these reporting obligations. The preparation process includes compiling input from various organizations across the company, analyzing the information, and writing the narrative for different sections of the reports.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying the company's sustainability reporting requirements, both mandatory and voluntary, and draft the sustainability section of the annual report. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of producing high value sustainability reports, ideally for the oil and gas sector.
The successful candidate will work closely with the relevant business/ service lines and other relevant stakeholders to understand the company's sustainability reporting framework, policies, initiatives, and performance. In addition, the candidate will have the ability to analyze the data as received, prepare narratives related to the sustainability section, and respond to queries from ERD management and other organizations within the company (e.g., the Law Department and Investor Relations). This position requires understanding of complex company operations, any related sustainability issues, and the ability to communicate the Company's sustainability initiatives and performance in a clear and concise manner acceptable for public reporting.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor's degree in a related field.
You will have at least 5 years of sustainability reporting experience, preferably in the energy industry.
You will be able to quickly establish credibility in the position and effectively interact with organizations within the company, including all levels of senior leadership.
You will have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
You will have the capability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
You should be able to meet tight deadlines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Identify sustainability reporting requirements, hot topics, and industry best practices.
Review company's sustainability policies, initiatives, and performance.
Analyze information received and compare it to disclosure requirements.
Prepare appropriate questions related to the information received and search out answers.
Clearly and concisely write narrative for the sustainability section of the annual report, ensuring the verbiage flows within the context of other sections of the report.
Create and maintain appropriate back-up documentation for the sustainability section to facilitate external auditors' review.
Act as ERD's champion for sustainability related topics.
Multitask with other analysts to ensure timely completion of the report.
Develop and maintain close relationship with various company organizations.
