Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Business Analyst Controls Engineer will create a systems architectural concept then design and deploy that content with PLC's, SCADA software and database design as required. The Supply Business Analyst Controls Engineer will travel domestically and internationally ranging from 20-30% per year.

Job Duties:
  • Create, modify, debug PLC software, and understand the various communication networks used.
  • Write queries to retrieve data from databases.
  • Create, modify, and debug HMI/SCADA software.
  • Create, modify, and debug Data Management Software
  • Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for industrial uses, including motors and conveyance systems; directing activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operation conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations, utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Participate in team project meetings, track project schedules, project budgets, responsibilities of work, total team change updates, and coordinate with contractors.
  • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in the results, and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • Serve as the primary systems resource for the start-up of the assignment.
  • Collaborate with the estimation department to create and execute project estimations.
  • Work with project management to create manning schedules for assignments.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
  • Serve as the primary electrical resource for the installation of the assignment.
  • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization's goals.


Job Qualifications:
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in Technical, Supply Chain, Business or similar discipline required.
  • 2 years of experience in supply chain required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Certifications in networking and database management preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in CS, EE, SC or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of SCADA programming experience.
  • 5 to 7 years of PLC programming experience (Rockwell and/or Siemens).
  • Ignition software experience.
  • Experience with web-based programming languages.
  • Process knowledge of P&ID's is strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience.
  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and some weekend work.
  • Effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, customer (internal & external) and other business contacts.
  • Ability to work in an office and uncontrolled Mfg. environment. Exposure to harsh conditions are possible for a short period time - such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% to job sites both in U.S. and internationally.

We sold five cementing units to an English company in Burma, the start of our Eastern Hemisphere operations, and Erle P. Halliburton sent his brothers to open our business in Alberta, Canada. We opened in Venezuela in 1940. By 1946, the company – using its innovative technology – had expanded into Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and the Middle East and began performing services for the Arabian-American Oil Company, the forerunner of Saudi Aramco.

 

In 1951, Halliburton made its first appearance in Europe as Halliburton Italiana SpA., a wholly owned subsidiary in Italy. In the next seven years, Halliburton launched Halliburton Company Germany GmbH, set up operations in Argentina and established a subsidiary in England.

 

In 1984, Halliburton provided all of the well completion equipment for the first multiwell platform offshore China. Two years later, Halliburton became the first American company to perform an oilfield service job on the China mainland

 

The final decade of the 20th century brought more changes and growth to Halliburton. The company opened a branch office in Moscow in 1991.

 

The company realigned its work into Eastern and Western Hemisphere operations in 2006, and in 2007, divided its service offerings into two divisions: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation.
