Reporting to the US Supply Chain Manager, the US Procurement manager will have overall responsibility for managing the day to day SCM Transition and Purchasing activities, collaboration with strategic sourcing (in close alignment with Str. Category and Sourcing team) and the shipping of materials in close collaboration with internal Customers and Stakeholders. The role will be crucial for managing day to day operations transparent and at best cost possible and close collaboration with the WSC / GBSC in Bangalore.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and adhere to all safety regulations and applicable Weatherford Policies.
Ensure all of Weatherford's Codes of Conduct and Compliance are followed as applicable.
Understand, recommend, and support the implementation of all new and revised streamlined policies and processes to continuously improve the categories business plan and strategic sourcing value proposition to key stakeholders.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Work assignments to be carried out with the highest level of quality
Establish a culture of continuous improvement to define the function's best-in-class status
Responsibility includes Purchasing and WSC Integration
Counter and lead OPS, MFG and TCS day-2-day engagement and
Prepare the SCM objectives and schedules for all phases of development and implementation strategy.
Utilize Lean concepts to drive continuous improvement within SCM operations.
Ability to lead large projects which involve employees from multiple departments and contractors.
Process for definition of transition scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Management of change techniques to the transition scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measuring SCM transition performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Process for capturing lessons learned and their effective adoption in a proactive continues improvement cycle.
Auditing of SCM transition to ensure master plans and schedules are followed, and directing others for successful transition completion on time and on budget.
Ensure timely placement and follow up of purchasing orders, invoices and supplier engagements including shipping of such material and services through preferred carrier/distribution network.
Manages and develops material strategies, implements targets and standards/processes within the United States Geozone.
Designs, defines and implements cost-out programs and/or processes improvements for a diverse portfolio in a regional organization to reach Geo Zone / Product Line financial targets
Close alignment with Strategic Category Management function, to ensure latest Supplier contracts and pricing are being used during execution
Overall responsibility for the framework used for SCM Operational execution.
Driving the transformation of SCM Operations management into an enterprise function with increased scale and delivery capabilities.
Ownership of complex supplier negotiations and deal execution; acting as an escalation point within the day to day SCM operations and towards stakeholders.
Responsible for overall service delivery and client satisfaction including identifying trends and developing solutions for service delivery issues with key client stakeholders.
Manage and influence key senior level stakeholder relationships / leaders within the organization with the ability to ensure strong governance and support for key initiatives and programs.
Measure team effectiveness against established performance metrics.
Accountable for overall SCM Operational function performance including identifying and tracking key performance metrics and resource planning
Managing mid-sized to large teams and/or work efforts across a regional footprint, strong collaboration with key functions and stakeholder groups.
Identify, coach and mentor employees across all experience levels, sourcing leads and operational leaders as part of an overall talent management effort to recruit, retain, and engage top talent
Be accountable for assuring a robust pipeline of "ready now" talent is in place across the Supply Chain organization
Develop risk mitigation strategies for key plants, internal customers or suppliers in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and Str. Cat Mgmt. / Sourcing Team
Develop and execute on a detailed communication plan, defining the regional strategy and performance drivers
Proven success in managing complex supplier relationships, negotiating and managing critical contracts
Build, advance, and maintain internal customer relationships
Interacts with key stakeholders in the process effectively and professionally
Create a "Customer-focused" environment
Apply customer relationship and "account management" skills and behaviors
Understands the financial impact that an effective and efficient category management function can have on the performance of the enterprise
Develop category cost improvement strategies and cost reduction models for specific product line.
Counsels key stakeholders and team members as required on financial impact
Experience in a global strategic category management & sourcing leadership role demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and a track record of success working in a global, team-based environment.
Strong understanding of the purpose of a Strategic Category Management process and how it is executed in a large complex environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, communicate effectively and influence ; Ability to partner and influence at the region level & ability to interact effectively at all levels of the company
Analytically adept with the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making and to assess results
Demonstrated experience and expertise implementing and managing change across all levels of an organization

Minimum BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering
5+ years of relevant work experience in Category Management at a global or regional level
5+ years' experience leading a regional team
Knowledge in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Track record of 5+ years with exceptional savings performance and delivery, comprising a mix of operations and supply chain management skills
Knowledge or firsthand experience with upstream oilfield services work processes
APICS certification, knowledge of Lean Six Sigma &/or other Supply Chain. JDE experience a plus
Master's degree in Business or Supply Chain desired, but can be substituted with relevant work experience
CPM, CMA or CPSM Certification
