JOB DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision, perform mechanical assembly of moderate complexity in accordance with established procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

With little supervision assemble finished goods per work orders.

Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, calipers, micrometers. 

Package all products in preparation for shipping/delivery.

Handle material in order to stock parts for future orders and to pull parts for in-process orders.

Ability to identify and correct problems with assistance.

Maintain working inventory.

Maintain proper maintenance and condition of equipment and facilities.

Follow all oral and written instructions.

Complete NCR's as necessary.

Responsible for accurately recording all labor hours with time system.

Handle finished items in such a manner so as to prevent damage.

Assist Mechanical Assembler I's with learning job duties, as directed by supervisor.

Responsible for cleaning work area prior to leaving each day.

Function in a safe and reliable manner to prevent personal injury and/or property damage.

Know and understand the Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Place Instructions.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies of Weatherford.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Attendance in compliance with Company policy.

Ability to safely operate forklift.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations

Preferred:

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Good verbal communication skills.

Ability and desire to be at work on time and to learn new skills.

Ability to read and interpret prints.

Ability to perform basic mathematical problems.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Good verbal communication skills.

Ability to read measuring tape, micrometers and calipers.
