Targa is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Server Operations for their office located in Midland, TX.

Targa is currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Server Operations for their office located in Tulsa, OK.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks to ensure system integrity and availability.

• Perform performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization on an as needed basis.

• Respond to alarms in a timely manner to prevent client impact and performance degradation.

• Develop, recommend, and deploy automation tools to optimize activities and complete assigned tasks on time and budget.

• Provide tier III and other support per service requests.

• Responsible for design, deployment, administration and management of both physical and virtual servers.

• Responsible for administration of virtualization hypervisor systems and related technology.

• Responsible for administration and support of datacenter-based storage and backup systems.

• Responsible for administration of disaster recovery replication systems and processes.

• Responsible for assisting Management with capacity planning forecasts for physical, virtual, and cloud resources.

• Support and facilitate KPI metric reporting used to monitor datacenter service operations daily, weekly, monthly performance - participate in review meetings as needed.

• Direct participation required in periodic disaster recovery tests.

• Must be willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations, and to cover an on-call rotation.

• Work in accordance with corporate and organizational information security policies and procedures.

• Follow and adhere to Targa IT change management practices.

• Plans, designs and integrates new technologies into the infrastructure environment in a cost-effective manner.

• Responsible for all system backup process and related technologies.

• Participates in periodical disaster recovery planning and test exercises.

• Creates and amends technical recovery plans as required

• Lead job assignments without direct supervision and cultivates good working relationship with Targa Operations Teams.

• Participates in periodic weekly 24x7 On-call Rotation.

• Work closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related degrees or related years of experience.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with great attention to detail.

• Knowledge of Microsoft product required; knowledge of networking and Server/PC hardware required.

• Must have excellent phone, customer service and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to adapt effectively to new and changing environments and to multi-task and prioritize assignments.

• Ability to be on rotating 24x7 on-call rotation.

• Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience - fulltime, part-time, internships in an IT systems analyst or service desk role.

• Advanced computing skills: Proficient with multiple versions of Windows Server and Unix/Linux operating systems, Active Directory, Citrix, VMWare vSphere, Avamar, Dell/EMC storage systems.

• Familiarity and ability to install (not configure) network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls.

• Ability and willingness to travel to remote company field locations and lift 50 pounds.
