JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sustaining Support Engineering

Customer driven design modifications and systems

Manufacturing Engineering support

Develop test procedures

Preparation of documentation for Engineering design files

Generate Engineering layouts for fit, form, and function

Shop floor support - coordinate with production and manufacturing engineering to support production requirements

Must understand and comply with all safety, environmental, and company policies

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in computer use and Microsoft Office Suite programs

Experience utilizing Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or Inventor for layouts and visualizing design concepts in 3D

Excellent communications skills

Good written English (for report writing and documentation)

Willingness to travel and work in test lab, field, onshore and offshore environments

Mechanical component design expertise

Proficient in drafting standards (dimensioning, tolerances, etc.)

Hands-on experience assembling and testing components and assemblies

Ability to organize and document

Sufficient communication skills for effective dialogue with colleagues

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology from a recognized University required (essential).

Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University is optional.

3-6 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment of machined components required (essential).

3-6 years of mechanical design experience required for advanced degree holders.

Experience in Down-Hole Oil Field tool design preferred.

Each Engineering group is different, not all of the skills indicated below will apply.  

Preferred:

Experience in design of Wellhead, Surface Equipment, and or Down-hole Tool design preferred

FEA experience with the following software packages: ANSYS, Cosmos Works, and/or Creo Simulate

Working knowledge of hydraulics and CFD applications including Fluent

Working knowledge of Industry standards and specifications (API, ISO, etc.)
