The Senior US Compensation Analyst is a lead role, part of the Global Compensation team, supporting the variable pay COE and all business units across the US Geozone. Identifies trends/issues that require analysis and solves complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Manages the compensation process and system, working in conjunction with Total Rewards management. Provides advice as to the best practices and viable models to support business objectives. May lead functional teams or projects and provide work direction for more junior levels.


Responsible for ensuring compensation programs meet organizational needs, comply with legal and policy requirements, and are cost effective.

Stays abreast of current trends and developments in the compensation field in order to make informed recommendations, changes and/or additions to the Company's program designs in order to best serve overall Company objectives.

Carries out the implementation of global sales incentive programs and may assist in other global compensation initiatives.

Coordinates the administration of and assists in plan design working in conjunction with other support functions, including Finance, Accounting, QHSSE, HR Business Partners, IT. Serve the US Geozone as process leader for the implementation, administration and distribution of all global compensation initiatives.

Develops communications and conducts training sessions to the business and HR to ensure understanding of various compensation practices, programs and systems.

Assists the business and HR in maintaining optimal data quality in HRMS and the various compensation platforms.

Develops full understanding of various compensation platforms to maintain eligibility and metrics and to understand and explain calculations related to our various compensation programs.

Meet key Payroll deadlines to ensure timely payment of sales incentives.

Develop and run periodic and ad-hoc reports to produce executive level reports, presentations and dashboards, to provide timely information for decision making.

Work with Geozone leaders to stay abreast of organizational changes and other developments that affect compensation processes.

Coordinates participation in salary surveys as needed; evaluate market data to ensure the competitiveness of Weatherford's US compensation structures. 



BS/BA degree and 6-8 years relevant experience, or equivalent.

Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint skills.

Ability to handle multiple activities successfully and quickly with strong attention to detail.

Ability to influence and converse across many cultures and at multiple levels.

Excellent influencing skills coupled with the ability to work in a complex matrix structure


BS/BA degree and 7-9 years relevant experience, or equivalent.

CCP, GRP, CSCP Certifications

Knowledge of Optymyze, BonusCalc and CompAccelerator compensation platforms.

Broad band Compensation experience

PeopleSoft knowledge
