Position Description
We are seeking an Industrial Computer Engineer to join the Technical Support Department (TSD) under the Southern Area Oil Operations Admin Area (SAOO).

TSD directs and overseas Plant Networks and System (PN&S) security activities for Southern Area Oil Operations. TSD perform effective and comprehensive PN&S security compliance assessment for all SAOO facilities.

You will be the single point of contact for SAOO on all related Industrial Control Systems (ICS) security by interfacing with some support organizations within the company. The role includes coordinating the execution of the corporate Process Automation Systems (PAS) security projects at SAOO. You will be managing security systems deployment and provide security operational technical support. You will identify and implement compensating controls at all SAOO facilities.

Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.

You must have a minimum of 9 years' experience, preferably in process control systems and network security field in petroleum or closely related process industry.

You should demonstrate good grasp of hardware interfacing and instrumentation techniques, SCADA and DSC, control systems, simulation and control applications, software scripting and/or security configuration.

You must have working knowledge of oil/gas related plant processes.

Duties & Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:

Ensure the reliable and secure operation of the process control system infrastructure.

Monitor plant system and networks foe error-free and secure operation and acceptable performance.

Provide commissioning, startup, and maintenance support of plant networks and systems.

Take a leading role in investigating, root-causing, and resolving availability, performance and security issues in the plant networks and systems and ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely manner.

Provide software and hardware support services for related to control Systems Security.

Manage and maintain automation network firewalls between the Automation Network and the Process Control, DMZ and corporate Networks.

Develop detailed project scope, cost estimates and benefits to justify plant networks, systems, and security projects.

Define or provide guidance for function requirements and specifications, and perform hardware/software selections, final system specification and system design, integration and testing for specific projects.

Oversee and evaluate proof concept demonstrations of new industrial networks technologies in the plant.
