Authorized to work in: US

• Works on electrical and instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs compressor panel control wiring and associates devices.
• Reads and understands P&ID's (symbols, tags and instrument lines), wiring diagrams and instrument loop drawings.
• Maintains and works on different types of control valves and transmitters.
• Works on electrical systems ranging from 12vcd to 480 vac; electrical meters and diagnostics tools for troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Follows all company safety procedures, including lockout/tag out procedures.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
• Pulls wiring through wiring raceway, assisted by helper.
• Splices wire by stripping insulation from terminal leads with electrical knife or pliers, twists or solders wires together and applies tape or terminal caps.
• Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
• Tests continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer and oscilloscope.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Bends and works with 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 inch stainless tubing.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with screws or bolts using hand or power tools.
• Loads, transports and unloads tools, equipment and supplies.
• Assists in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation.
• Performs minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
• Performs other duties as required.
