Job Summary
The Maintenance Foreman will provide leadership to assigned maintenance team in the maintenance of all field compression and associated facility equipment in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost effective manner. This position is in Anadarko's DJ Basin Region as a member of the Midstream Operations Team working in Platteville Colorado.


The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance and operation of natural gas engines and compressors is required, with 2 years of demonstrated leadership ability in a maintenance team environment is also required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in maintenance and operation of natural gas engines and compressors is required.

  • Working knowledge of electrical and automation systems related to gas gathering equipment

  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with engineering, technical peers, and management

  • Ability to conduct employee performance coaching and to manage complex scheduling

  • Must have strong organization and planning skills and be flexible and able to manage through change

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as problem solving skills required

  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required

  • Extensive knowledge of wear limits on rotating equipment and capable of establishing and / or approving equipment major overhauls

  • Understand basic compressor runs, load curves, and pump curves as well as gas piping, facility design and operations

  • Working knowledge of standard oilfield construction drawings P&ID's, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc. is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative team environment is required.


  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to OSHA/PSM, DOT, federal/state environmental regulations, and other regulatory requirements. Preparation of appropriate documentation.

  • Oversee major equipment overhauls such as engines, compressors, and pumps utilizing OEM repair manuals, mechanical schematics, industry standards, and company standards.

  • Manage and assure that maintenance of all assigned gas plant and field equipment including gas engines, compressors, pumps, motors, pneumatic tools and production machines, compressors, dryers, coolers, generators, gas regulators, pumps, etc. is documented and scheduled utilizing SAP FM

  • Coordinate all field activities from maintenance crews, small construction crews, and new construction project work at Anadarko locations.

  • Work with Manager and Maintenance Planner to maintain equipment maintenance schedules, adapt maintenance calendar to maximize equipment availability, reduce downtime, avoid environmental and safety risks, and monitor downtime on engines, compressors, and pumps.

  • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. May serve as the company's representative during regulatory agency inspections.

  • Safe operation of rotating equipment, calibration, maintenance, modification, and repair of a wide variety of equipment used in natural gas gathering operations, additionally have a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of preventive maintenance.

  • Contribute to site safety performance improvement by holding workers and self-accountable for safety. This is done via job safety analysis, permit to work, safety observations, audits, conducting safety meetings, safety training, incident investigation/root cause analysis and job briefs. Encourage safety activity participation by all maintenance personnel. Participate in emergency response coordination.

  • Communicate equipment, compression performance and environmental problems to supervisor.

  • Develop facility operating budgets and control operating costs for assigned facilities to manage small as well as large projects and scheduled maintenance of assigned facilities.

  • Supervise maintenance personnel and maintain manpower and gathering system operating costs at a minimum consistent with safe, ethical, efficient and environmentally effective operations.

  • Accomplish assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and work in a team environment in accordance with Anadarko's Core Values.

  • Manage and assure development and upkeep of maintenance procedures as necessary.

  • Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure individual job performance aligns with identified objectives/goals.

  • Assure team maintains good housekeeping practices.

  • Assure team responds to call out requests as needed for maintenance, relief and emergency situations.

  • Provide support for other supervisory personnel including on call rotation and vacation relief.

A High School diploma or equivalent required

Associates Degree, Trade School or Applicable Professional Certifications are preferred.

Valid US driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required

This position will eligible for domestic relocation

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 15%

Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule

Successful candidate must have or establish residency within a 50-mile radius Platteville, CO.
