Job Summary:

The Rental Fleet Supervisor will develop, implement, and manage rental procedures from the acquisition, utilization, maintenance of, and up to the return of assets.  Rented assets include various types of heavy equipment, attachments, rolling stock, and tooling.  Primary responsibilities of this position includes the sourcing and acquisition of rentals, tracking the utilization, location, and return and pickup, managing the maintenance and repair program for rentals, and ensuring all government, corporate, and operational policies are met for all rental assets.  Other responsibilities include setting up national accounts and rebate programs, gathering and consolidating rental data from various suppliers, utilizing internal and vendor systems to track rental performance and costs, and developing metrics and KPIs to identify exceptions and savings and process improvement opportunities.

 

Primary Job Function:

  • Develop and execute a standard procedure for rental acquisitions (internal approvals, contracts and rate reviews, after-hours rentals, etc.) and coordinate and process all rental sourcing requests for the organization
  • Develop and maintain a rental durations standard to improve PO accuracy and avoid rental extensions
  • Develop and maintain a standard procedure for rental returns and pickups to avoid past due rental events
  • Develop and maintain a maintenance program to ensure uptime and reduce high-cost repairs during turn-inr
  • Develop and maintain a utilization standard to avoid low-utilization and identify assets for reallocations or returns
  • Gather and consolidate data from internal and vendor systems and develop rental reports and KPI's to track rental performance for the organization
  • Ensure rentals have working Telematics devices to prevent asset loss and ensure utilization tracking
  • Maintain a list of active rentals and RPO assets
  • Perform account management and setup new national accounts, manage relationships with current suppliers, and negotiate rental rates, delivery fees, and other ancillary cost associated with rentals
  • Work with operations to address any issues or concerns regarding any rentals
  • Continuous improvement to programs, processes, and workflows

 

 Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of construction equipment experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of rental program related experiences
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and applications
  • Working Knowledge of Telematics programs and applications
  • Experience in working in various web-based applications to pull information and data
  • Experience in reviewing rental agreements and contracts and negotiating rates and terms
  • Some experience in developing KPIs and reports to measure program performance and compliance
