Arbeidsoppgaver:
Fremskaffe og kvalitetssjekk av data for modelleringsgrunnlag.
Modellere relevante scenario for brønn som skal bores basert på kundens data.
Delta i skift rotasjon under Real Time jobber.
Monitorere operasjonen og ta avgjørelser basert på data input fra våre boreverktøy og software.
Lage og holde sluttrapport for kunden.
Bidra i anbudsprosesser.
Delaktig i bransjens fagmiljø ved å delta på konferanser og produserer artikler o.l.
Delta ved behov i skiftrotasjon ved vårt Real Time Operation Center.
Oppdrag i utlandet kan forventes.

Kvalifikasjoner:
Master (MSc) eller bachelor (BSc) innen petroleum, geologi eller nære relater områder.
Minimum tre års erfaring innen et eller flere av følgende områder: Geologi, MWD, Wellplanning eller andre relevante fagområder.
Kjennskap til Stratasteer3D Software er en fordel, samt erfaring med bruk av InSite.
I denne stillingen er det viktig at du behersker engelsk både skriftlig og muntlig, samt kan lage og holde presentasjoner.

In order to accommodate the increasing workload we are looking for a Geosteering Geologist in our Drilling Engineering Solutions department. You will be a part of a dynamic and flexible work group and work with some of the industries most talented people within wellbore reservoir placement. You will work closely with the customer either in the customer`s office or at Halliburton's Real-Time center.

Job description:
Request and QC data for modelling.
Modelling relevant scenarios for the Target well, based on customer input and Geosteering experience.
Attend in a shift rotation Real-Time jobs.
Monitor geological operations and provides analysis of conditions encountered in real time by using any Halliburton tool which can give an idea of the petrophysical properties of the surrounding media.
Make and hold post well presentations for the client.
Assist in tender preparation when needed.
Industry participation by attending conferences and participate in success stories, case studies and abstract proposals .
Assist in other projects in Halliburton when needed i.e taking part in the Real Time Operation Center shift rotation.
Assignments abroad can be expected .

Qualifications:
Master (MSc) or Bachelor degree (BSc) in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or strongly related fields.
Minimum 3 years' experience within one or more of following areas is preferred: Geosteering, MWD, Wellplanning or other relevant fields.
Knowledge about planning tools such as Stratasteer3D Software is an advantage.
Experience with using InSite.
In this position excellent skills in English, written and oral, is essential and be able to make and hold presentations.

We opened in Venezuela in 1940. By 1946, the company – using its innovative technology – had expanded into Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and the Middle East and began performing services for the Arabian-American Oil Company, the forerunner of Saudi Aramco.

 

In 1951, Halliburton made its first appearance in Europe as Halliburton Italiana SpA., a wholly owned subsidiary in Italy. In the next seven years, Halliburton launched Halliburton Company Germany GmbH, set up operations in Argentina and established a subsidiary in England.

 

In 1984, Halliburton provided all of the well completion equipment for the first multiwell platform offshore China. Two years later, Halliburton became the first American company to perform an oilfield service job on the China mainland

 

The final decade of the 20th century brought more changes and growth to Halliburton. The company opened a branch office in Moscow in 1991.

 

The company realigned its work into Eastern and Western Hemisphere operations in 2006, and in 2007, divided its service offerings into two divisions: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation.
