We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with project experience to join the Capital Program Management Division (CPMD), under Southern Area Technical Support Department (SAOO TSD).
CPMD directs and overseas capital projects activities for Southern Area Oil Operations. The overall scope of the facilities covered by this division include but not limited to: Design Basis Scoping Document (FEL-2), Project Proposal (FEL-3) and Detailed Design, Project Execution and Project Closure.
As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferable.
You must have a minimum of 12 years' experience of overall experience in oil & gas industries.
You must have experience in project management, design and construction of capital projects.
You must have construction experience in installation and commissioning of the static and rotating equipment.
You should be able to demonstrate experience of conducting thorough design reviews of static and rotating equipment.
You must have a thorough mechanical knowledge of international engineering practices, codes, standards and specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Support the design and construction of new projects.
Provide technical input from mechanical aspect on the project deliverables from design to execution.
Execute capital projects according to the scope, schedule and budget.
Manage a project progress from design to construction and pre-commissioning including material procurement phase and issue/update monthly progress report in coordination with all concerned organizations.
Provide technical input from mechanical aspect on the project deliverables from design to execution to ensure that the facility will meet the business/operations requirements and operate safely.
Identify potential inconsistencies between the drawings, specifications and standards.
Review drawings, specifications and calculations to ensure compliance with company codes & standards, procedures and policies.
