We are seeking a Planning & Scheduling Specialist to join the Joint Venture Projects Support (JVPS).
The JVPS is responsible for the monitoring of and reporting on Joint Venture projects execution and progress on behalf of the Senior Vice President of Downstream. Further they are responsible for assuring that Saudi Aramco joint ventures use a consistent philosophy in standards and execution of projects.
Your primary role is to provide high-level professional advice and guidance in the analysis and evaluation of planning and scheduling data for mega projects / capital projects.
As a recognized Company expert, you will coordinate and develop master schedules for major capital development programs, identifying Interdependency and resource requirements.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related technical degree from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have more than 7 years of planning and/or field execution experience relative the refinery/petrochemical or related industries.
You will also have Practical knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as related to planning and schedule control.
You will be proficient with industry standard planning software including Primavera® Enterprise and Microsoft® Project.
You will be capable of evaluating and consulting on scheduling/planning problems where precedents are lacking or on problems, where a high degree of specialized knowledge is required
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Develop project schedules as requested.
Provide professional expertise in the resolution of planning & scheduling matters.
Develop scheduling procedures for projects as requested.
Analyze planning & scheduling reports for projects to identify potential risk areas. Report findings to supervisor/proponent as applicable.
Recommend corrective action for projects with delayed completion forecasts.
Evaluate contractor claims relative to schedule and construction. Advice SA project management team of course(s) of actions to minimize Saudi Aramco's liability during claims negotiations.
Participate in establishing project planning and scheduling contract specifications.
Possess expertise in using estimating software.
Keep current with development in planning & scheduling technology, and with construction practices and trends worldwide.
Develop alternatives "What-Ifs", as necessary, to optimize the project schedule.
Assess the impact(s) of design, discovery or construction schedule slippages, accelerations or delays.
Ensure that the schedule is properly resource loaded and that manpower conflicts are highlighted and quickly resolved.
Validate forecast information as required.
Update progress prepare reports per WBS.
Interface with client personnel, vendors and other contractors to plan execution of work
