We are seeking a Retail Business Development Lead to join the new established Saudi Aramco Retail Company (SARC) within the Marketing, Sales & Supply Planning Admin Area.
The primary role of the Retail Business Development Lead is to lead activities related to identifying and developing new retail opportunities within the fuel retail sector. Leading a team of eight to twelve professionals, you will work with a variety of organizations throughout Saudi Aramco such as Project Management, Finance, Law, etc. to evaluate potential retail venture development projects and then to coordinate and manage the development of said projects into successful ventures under SARC.
As a successful candidate, you will have a combination of business and technical competencies. You will have a bachelor's degree in either Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or an equivalent subject. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have at least fifteen years of relevant experience in fuel retail business development and will be a foremost expert in business development, especially in regards to the fuel retail industry. You will possess relevant industry expertise and will have solid experience in the specific fuel retail venture development activities such as commercialization, spin-offs, and/or joint venture development.
You will be proficient in oral and written English. Some proficiency in Arabic is beneficial, but not mandatory.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be expected to perform the following:
Manage Saudi Aramco Retail Company business development process from screening through to deal closure.
Prioritize business proposals against investment criteria and Saudi Aramco Retail Company portfolio strategy.
Determine the scope and objectives of the deal, offering commercial and technical solutions that make up Saudi Aramco Retail Company business offering.
Work with investor(s) to establish high-level strategic, financial, and operational milestones for new ventures.
Review investor proposals.
Approve contract payments and variations within authority limit.
Coordinate with internal subject matter experts groups (Law, Finance, Project Management, etc...) to ensure deal and project progress.
Determine requirements and key performance indicators for reporting venture performance.
Participate in planning Saudi Aramco Retail Company performance.
Act as a "Deal Closer" and mobilize the investor's senior management to resolve the few remaining issues before major commitment points are reached.
Work with internal organizations and external investors to promote new business opportunities.
Represent Saudi Aramco Retail Company and the Kingdom in professional societies, standard committees, and conferences.
Prepare reviews and present briefs to the Management Committee.
Provide administrative direction to retail business development team, as well as prepare job performance appraisals and recommend job promotions for staff.
See that proper documentation is maintained on all business venture development work.
