This is an instrumental position within the Anadarko information technology organization whose primary responsibility is to provide strategic and operational infrastructure expertise. This responsibility includes defining and implementing the technical network architecture, including Cloud integrations, and maintaining accountability for the operational execution of the network functions.
Reporting to the Manager of Network, the ITS Administrator must serve as an expert and authority on Network systems (on-premise and cloud) while promoting a business-value driven approach to implementing the infrastructure architecture. This position will be located at Anadarko corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.
Overall 4+ years of experience in LAN/WAN Network design, implementation, and support.12 years or more is preferred.
A solid understanding of current and emerging technologies, platforms and solutions that support the business.
Knowledge of IT Service Management/ITIL and Agile methodologies.
Experience in managing complex technical infrastructure environments.
Strong hands-on Network architecture experience is required for development, configuration, operation, maintenance and support of Anadarko's LAN/WAN services.
Design and implement automated solutions for provisioning and configuration management of network devices.
Experience with Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Storage is required
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Service with Azure, GCP, and AWS is a plus.
Accountable for the definition, maintenance, and hands-on implementation of the network architecture in support of the business processes.
Provides direction and guidance to leadership and the organization on network technology capabilities and utilization
Provides technical network hands-on expertise and consulting to the infrastructure technical teams.
Accountable for the effective execution of the Network Architecture, including Cloud IaaS/PaaS integrations, infrastructure Compliance and governance, Infrastructure Security, and the mentoring/training of team members.
Takes an active role in leading critical incident response, including the identification, triage, analysis, processing, escalations to final resolution and lessons learned.
Produces, communicates and maintains network standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Takes corrective actions when a defined operations process is not yielding desired results
Bachelor's degree in an IT, Engineering or closely related technical field is strongly desired (or equivalent work experience); advanced degree is a plus.
This position may be eligible for relocation.
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
