Job Summary

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation has an ITS Communications Analyst position open in the Houston, Texas office.


The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of corporate communications experience, which includes demonstrated responsibility for developing, managing, and executing strategic communications and an understanding of Information Technology's role in the oil and natural gas industry.

Position Responsibilities

This hands-on position is responsible for the identification, development, and delivery of internal and external communications related to ITS initiatives and outcomes. The incumbent will serve as single-source for all internal and external ITS communications. Additional specific responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with management and Corporate Communications to organize, coordinate and schedule ITS communications.

  • Develop targeted communications to effectively promote ITS programs within the organization and externally.

  • Create and publish all internal communications and develop presentations in support of ITS initiatives.

  • Research, compose, design and distribute all ITS communications in multiple formats (i.e. print and electronic).

  • Function as the Webmaster/content manager responsible for publishing and maintenance of all ITS related content.

  • Function as the ITS liaison with other Anadarko groups in the creation and production of specific ITS communications, including preparing ITS articles and publications, verifying facts and ensuring consistency.

  • Think proactively, anticipate potential challenges. See long range implications of tactical decisions, anticipate trends, and assess and mitigate potential risk.

  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be required up to 10%.


This position is not eligible for relocation.


A Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field required; master's degree is a plus.

Work Schedule

This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule
