LR Development Solutions offer technical engineering support in delivering early front end engineering, focusing on exploration, appraisal and early project stages to delivery maximum value from the project.

Our flow assurance engineers alongside subsurface, production optimisation, asset integrity and wells experts, deliver a fully integrated service to complement all areas of development and that span the entire lifecycle, from new developments to brownfield modification and decommissioning projects.

Role Purpose

The role will be that of a principal flow assurance engineer experienced in steady state and transient thermal and hydraulic flow simulation. The role will involve close interaction with subsurface, survey and geotechnical, subsea and topsides design disciplines, to help drive the design of onshore and offshore facilities.

Study/project activities will be directed by the Flow Assurance Manager and will be based mainly in the flow assurance arena but may also involve other process engineering as dictated by the operational needs of Development Solutions.

In technical activities, the role will be supervised by the flow assurance manager, however self motivation and initiative are essential.


Key Responsibilities

Lead flow assurance studies and projects.

Apply flow assurance engineering skills to integrated studies independently.

Supervise the work of less experienced flow assurance engineers.

Develop Development Solutions flow assurance analysis capability.

In addition to demonstrating capability to deliver the activities within the role description above:


Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements

Degree qualified, ideally BEng or MEng.

Ideally have achieved chartered engineer status.

Previous experience in upstream oil and gas projects

Previous experience of mentoring junior engineers

Preferably prior experience in field development / conceptual / front end subsea engineering.

Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary environment, including working closely with process, pipeline and subsea engineers.

Expert knowledge of flow assurance and fluid analysis applications such as OLGA, PIPESIM, PIPEFLO, PVTsim and HYSYS etc.

Numerate and competent in Microsoft Excel with good data management skills

Excellent client facing skills

Good presentation skills

Self motivated learner who can demonstrate use of initiative.
