Position Overview: Assists with day-to-day administrative duties for the Safety Department. 

 

Reports to: Corporate Safety Manager

 

Directs Reports: None

 

Major duties:
  • Monitor ISNet World and other contractor compliance websites for Certificate of Insurance (COI), Master Service Agreement (MSA), and training documentation compliance.
  • Communicate with Regional & Division safety personnel to ensure necessary compliance, assist as needed, and work to limit business interruptions.
  • Organize recurring company-wide conference calls discussing safety incidents and Department of Transportation compliance. 
  • Compiles company safety and DOT information on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Assists DOT Compliance Officer with IFTA compliance, log book compliance, and Driver Qualification files
  • Communicates with safety vendors to ensure completion of safety program initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Skills

Required:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with general direction and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate reports to document training outcomes, content, and attendance.

 

 Preferred:
  • Some college or bachelor's degree
  • Thorough knowledge of company's safety programs as well as applicable regulatory guidelines and/or requirements for safe operation of heavy vehicles and oil field equipment

 

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to read and accurately comprehend text
  • Ability to do intermediate level math
  • Ability to reason, think conceptually, and make good business decisions

 

Typical working conditions and hazards:
  • Primarily indoor office environment
  • Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions to conduct on-site or on-the-job training
  • Long periods sitting or being sedentary
  • Walking, occasional lifting up to 35 lbs., bending
  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use
  • Finger agility for keyboarding
