UK North Sea Contract Extension Goes to KCA Deutag

CNR International Ltd. (CNRI) has awarded KCA Deutag a five-year contract extension for three platforms operating in the U.K. North Sea, KCA Deutag reported Monday.

In a written statement emailed to Rigzone, KCA Deutag noted the multimillion-pound contract provides for drilling operations and maintenance services on CNRI’s Ninian South, Ninian Central and Tiffany platforms.

Located in the Northern North Sea, the Ninian South and Ninian Central fixed platforms process crude oil from the Ninian, Lyell and Columbia fields and export it to the Sullom Voe Terminal in the Shetland Islands via the Ninian Pipeline System, according to CNRI’s website. CNRI also states that a third platform in the Ninian field – Ninian North – is undergoing decommissioning.

The Tiffany platform in the Central North Sea exports crude oil from the Tiffany, Toni and Thelma fields to Cruden Bay in northeastern Scotland via the Brae-Forties oil pipelines, CNRI also notes on its website.
