Tendeka Names Baker Hughes Alum Americas VP
The independent completions services company Tendeka reported Thursday that it has appointed Jim McGowin its vice president for North and South America (NSA).
With more than 30 years of experience in the areas of oilfield wellbore construction, completion systems and services and enhanced oil recovery, McGowin joins Tendeka as it seeks to enter new markets, the U.K.-based company noted in a written statement emailed to Rigzone. Most recently, he developed and managed the U.S. sales team at Packers Plus Energy Services. Previously, he was sales director in Houston at Baker Hughes and also worked at TAM International.
“I look forward to leading the NSA team and working with all of many resources at Tendeka to introduce the benefits of improved reservoir management and enhanced recovery through our impressive suite of technologies,” commented McGowin. “We plan to build on the successes we have had over the past few years to increase our customer base and grow our business into new markets in the Western Hemisphere.”
A longstanding member of the Society of Professional Engineers, McGowin holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Mississippi State University and has studied mineral engineering at the University of Alabama.
Tendeka stated that McGowin will work out of the company’s Houston office.
