TechnipFMC Wins Vietnam Subsea Contract
PetroVietnam Gas has awarded TechnipFMC a subsea contract for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the Nam Con Son 2 Phase 2 pipeline across the Nam Con Son and Cuu Long basins in Vietnam, TechnipFMC reported Tuesday.
According to TechnipFMC, the contract scope covers engineering and installing 73.3 miles (118 kilometers) of rigid pipeline as well as fabricating subsea structures to tie back the existing Nam Con Son 2 Phase 1 gas pipeline to the Long Hai Landfall Station.
“We are extremely pleased to have been entrusted with the Nam Con Son 2 Phase 2 pipeline contract,” Arnaud Pieton, president of TechnipFMC’s Subsea unit, said in a written statement emailed to Rigzone. “This pipeline collects and transports gas from several reserves to help meet the demand in Southeast Vietnam, and we look forward to collaborating with PetroVietnam Gas on this project.”
TechnipFMC did not specify the amount of the EPC contract but noted that a “significant” award of this type ranges in value from $75 million to $250 million.
