Rabat Deep 1 Well Spuds

The Saipem 1200 drillship has commenced the drilling of the Rabat Deep 1 well in Morocco, according to a statement from Chariot Oil & Gas Limited.

Operations are expected to take approximately 50 days and further announcements will be made as appropriate, Chariot said in a company release.

Eni Maroc B.V. holds a 40 percent operated interest in the Rabat Deep Permits, with Woodside Energy (Morocco) Pty Ltd holding 25 percent, ONHYM holding 25 percent, and Chariot Oil & Gas Investments (Morocco) Limited holding the remaining 10 percent.

Eni signed a farm-in agreement with Chariot Oil & Gas to enter into Rabat Deep Offshore exploration permits I-VI, located in the Northern Atlantic Margin of Morocco, in March 2016.
