Petroplan Group revealed Wednesday that it has appointed Philippa Barnes as its new CEO, effective immediately.

Barnes has previously held the roles of client experience director and global human resources director at the company, and has nearly two decades of experience in the recruitment sector.

“We are delighted to have Philippa on-board as our new CEO. Her global experience and understanding of talent management strategies will ensure that we grow with a clear focus and exceed our clients’ expectations,” John Reeder, co-founder and chairman of Petroplan, said in a company statement.

Commenting on her appointment, Barnes said she was very excited to be given the opportunity to lead the Petroplan team.

“Petroplan is comprised of experienced and exceptionally talented people with a passion for the oil, gas and energy industry around the world, who are constantly improving the range and quality of our services for the benefit of our clients,” Barnes said in a company statement.

“We will continue to attract and service our candidates and clients in this challenging, international marketplace, and ensure that Petroplan enjoys profitable growth as well as increased efficiencies,” she added.
