Peterson Launches Consultancy for Aspiring Net-Zero Companies

Energy logistics provider Peterson has launched a new consultancy service with the aim of helping companies on their net-zero journey and carbon-neutral status certification.
“We are delighted to offer this new consultancy service to companies committed to taking the first step to reducing their carbon footprint and playing their part in the energy transition,” Sarah Moore, Chief Executive of Peterson, said.
“Our sustainability team is looking forward to sharing their wealth of knowledge and practical experience with clients to significantly accelerate their carbon-neutral certification and achieve their sustainability targets,” she added.
The consultancy service will support clients with proven methodologies, a purpose-built carbon data collection tool, and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards that deliver significant cost savings and efficiencies during the carbon-neutral certification process, Peterson said in its statement.
Peterson’s digital consultancy Core29 has developed a bespoke software solution to accelerate the data collection process for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, which will substantially reduce the hours required to measure emissions by approximately 40 percent during and after the carbon neutral process is complete, the company said.
Earlier this month, Peterson received the Energy Transition Award at the Offshore Achievement Awards in recognition of its sustainability initiatives which saw the company achieve carbon-neutral status under the PAS 2060 accreditation covering 34 sites across seven countries. Peterson notes that it has ambitious sustainability plans and aims to be net zero by 2025.
The company states on its site that the energy transition is underway and says companies are working to achieve net zero, with many aiming towards 2030, and some as early as 2025, to ensure compliance with future environmental regulations.
