OPEX Group Gets New Office After Team Expansion
Aberdeen-based OPEX Group revealed recently that it has moved to a new office following a doubling of its customer base and subsequent team expansion.
The company said its new location in the West End of Aberdeen is more than three times the size of its previous space and incorporates “the latest technology and collaborative workspaces”.
“The office move is an important milestone for OPEX, marking the expansion of the business. Since the start of the year we have more than doubled our customer base and grown the size of our data science, engineering and administration teams,” Jamie Bennett, chairman and CEO of OPEX Group, said in a company statement.
“The office move was primarily to accommodate this growth but has also provided us with an opportunity to invest heavily in new technology,” he added.
“Our new office space allows our data scientists, data analysts and engineering teams to work more collaboratively with our customers, utilizing the latest technology, some of which is the first of its kind to be installed in the country,” Bennett continued.
OPEX Group describes itself as a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry. The company, which counts BP and TAQA among its client base, is made up of roughly 50 percent data scientists and 50 percent oil and gas professionals.
Back in March the company announced that Roy Buchan had been appointed as a senior vice president. Buchan had previously worked for companies including Ithaca, Talisman and Shell.
