Allied, GE Enter Partnership in Wireline Logging Industry
GE and Allied have signed a long-term partnership agreement dedicated to serving customers in the global wireline logging industry.
According to the agreement, signed through the Downhole Technology unit of GE Oil & Gas, drilling & production, Allied will purchase a broad range of logging tools and related equipment from GE, and the companies will cooperate in the continued development of GE's Open-Hole Ultrawire Formation Evaluation tool suite. In addition, GE will provide Allied with comprehensive technical and services support from its established facilities in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Jim Junker, general manager—downhole technology, drilling & production, GE Oil & Gas said, "Allied is an excellent partner for us. The agreement will help both companies meet longer-term growth objectives by leveraging GE's technology and services expertise in downhole solutions and Allied's rapidly expanding presence in the market. This announcement strengthens our offering to customers by providing even greater access to our wireline logging solutions for the exploration and production of oil and gas."
