Patterson Tubular & R/D Tech Form New Partnership

R/D Tech and Patterson Tubular Services have formed a partnership to market, service and design inspection systems and services for the domestic and international Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) markets. The objective of this partnership is to provide users and manufacturers an integrated solution to meet API requirements for the non-destructive inspection of OCTG products. "By joining forces, we believe this is an excellent opportunity to enter the market and provide a choice to our customers," said Jim Caillouet, President, Patterson Tubular Services. "Combined, the two companies will provide inspection equipment and services to satisfy market demands. The products targeted include Casing, Tubing, Line Pipe, Drill Pipe, Coiled Tubing and associated peripherals."

Included in the agreement are:

  • The manufacturing and design of Ultrasonic, Electromagnetic and Eddy Current systems which incorporate the R/D Tech advanced expertise and leadership in array and conventional technologies
  • Installation and maintenance of fully automated inspection systems
  • Provide inspection systems, facilities and personnel for inspection services per the most stringent requirements, and demonstrate capability on a continuing basis
  • Sale and/or lease of inspection systems
  • Provide on-site personnel and expertise to operate inspection systems
  • Provide customer training in the operation and use of associated technologies.
