BP Plans New Natural Gas Platform For Trinidad

BP plans to build a new offshore platform that is expected to double the company's production of natural gas offshore Trinidad by 2004. The estimated cost for the new facility is $600 million U.S. and is expected to start in the 3rd quarter of 2001 and take approximately two years to complete. The platform will be named Kapok and located offshore Trinidad’s eastern coast.
