RWE Dea Hits Hydrocarbons at Zidane Prospect



A discovery was made in the Zidane-1 well in Production License 435 in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Drilling is continuing in well (6507/7-14S), and further data will be gathered and analyzed before an update of the resource potential can be made. Production testing will be performed and should take about two to three weeks to complete. RWE Dea is the operator of PL 435, holding a 40% interest; Norwegian Energy Company (Noreco) holds 20%; Wintershall Norge holds 20%; and Edison International holds the remaining 20% interest.
