ADX Resumes Drilling Offshore Tunisia
Drilling of the Lambouka-1 well recently came to a halt due to bad weather preventing the installation of the Blow Out Preventer on the wellhead. Once the weather subsided, modifications were made to the BOP and wellhead connection, allowing for drilling to continue. Estimated to hold 270 million barrels of oil equivalent, Lambouka's primary objectives are the Miocene-aged Birsa and the Cretaceous-aged Abiod formations. Drilling is being performed by the Atwood Southern Cross semibub in a water depth of 1,312 feet (400 meters). ADX Energy operates the license, holding a 30% interest.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
