BW Offshore Secures OSX Floater Work

BW Offshore has signed a US $150 million contract with OSX Brazil SA for the completion of the FPSO OSX-1 project. BW Offshore will act as a project manager, assisting the owner, by providing engineering services, detailing the equipment required for the customization activity, and supporting the procurement process. The scope of work includes topside modifications for heavy oil processing, water separation and power generation. The work also includes the delivery of a submerged turret production (STP) system from BW Offshore's division APL. The project is due for completion in mid-2011. The FPSO will operate for OGX in the Campos Basin on the Waimea field.
