OGX Hits Oil Pay in Campos Basin
OGX found an oil-bearing interval in the Albian section of the 1-OGX-15-RJS well. Specifically, an oil column of about 315 feet (96 meters) with a reservoir thickness of 105 feet (32 meters) was detected in carbonate reservoirs. Pressure and seismic data suggest a connection between the well and the nearby Etna and Pipeline prospects. The semisub Ocean Ambassador commenced drilling activities on June 15 and is expected to reach a final depth of 11,319 feet (3,450 meters). The well, located on the Santa Helena prospect, lies in Campos Basin's BM-C-41 block. OGX wholly owns and operates the block.
