The United Kingdom Department of Energy and Climate Change and the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy granted approval to Total for the development of the Islay gas field in the Northern North Sea. The gas field will connect to the Alwyn facility with first gas planned for the second half of 2011.
